Q10 - This question arose in Monday morning's Great Adventure class. The question is: What is the difference between personal judgment and final judgment. More to the point, could you please explain the final judgment and these related questions? Who will be judged? Will those who have already been judged be subject to this judgment again? What exactly is a consecrated Church? Why are some churches consecrated and others not? What requirements must be met in order for a church to be consecrated? Why are not all churches consecrated? Q4 - My mother was Catholic. I am not. She was married 4 times and divorced 3 times. She died during her last marriage. She was told, on her deathbed by her priest, that because of her marriages and divorces after the first man, that she was going to hell. I cannot find doctrine in the Catechism the supports what the priest told my mother. I do know, however, that she died a terrified woman. It was crushing, but I need to know the answer. Why would he tell her something like that, if it weren't true?
